So I found what I thought to be a 2-year-old post on this very topic but the client has since changed a lot from that and I noticed a lot of questions went unanswered so I am going to reopen this topic for all the new guys playing on desteria.
What is an Alt Client:
An alt client allows you to run Minecraft but with only a console this means it only takes 10mb of ram! so it is very useful for you guys that have a bunch of Alts but a shoddy PC / Laptop as long as you have windows xp+ this will work
Pros of using an Alt Client:
- Allows you to afk spawners easily without having to have Minecraft opened so it uses less power etc.
- Use it as a raid alerting system (not allowed on desteria)
- A bunch of configuration options such as anti afk timeout
- Script scheduler and remote control
- Goto http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum...-win-mac-linux-minecraft-console-client-1-9-0and download the console client
- Create a folder on your desktop and name it, for example, Minecraft alt then place the client into the said file
- Once the file is in that folder open the console client and type in your minecraft login details
- It will then ask you for the server IP for example ( pvp.desteria.com) if you want to load the alt into besen type /besen auren is /auren and so forth.
- Your all set now watch those IG's Pileup.
