Connect to Webex Meetings via Web Browser

1. Navigate to umass.webex.com in your web browser.
2. In the box below the Cisco Webex Meetings icon, click the Sign in link.
3. In the 'Email address' box, enter[yourNetID]@umass.edu, then click Next.
4. Enter your NetID and NetID password when prompted.
5. Once successfully logged in, you will be directed to the Webex Meetings dashboard.

Connect to Webex Meetings via Desktop Client on Windows or Mac OS

1. Navigate to umass.webex.com and click Download on the left side of the screen.
2. Click the Download button below the Desktop App description to begin downloading the desktop client installer.
3. Double-click the downloaded file to run the installation wizard, and follow the steps.
4. Once the installation is complete, click Finish to launch the desktop client and sign in.
5. Enter [yourNetID]@umass.edu in the 'Email address' box, then click Next.
6. Select umass.webex.com when prompted with “Which Webex site do you want to use?” Then, click Next.
7. Enter your NetID and NetID password when prompted.
8. The Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App will launch once you are finished, ready for your next meeting. It can also be launched from the Start menu on Windows or the Applications folder on Mac OS.

Connect to Webex Meetings via iOS or Android App

1. Search for and download the Cisco Webex Meetings app from the App Store on iOS or the Google Play Store on Android.
2. Launch the Webex Meet app once it has finished installing.
3. Tap the Sign In button, then enter [yourNetID]@umass.edu in the 'Email' box.
4. Select umass.webex.com when prompted to 'Select Site.'
5. Enter your NetID and NetID password when prompted.
6. Once successfully logged in, you will be directed to the Webex Meetings home screen.

2. Enter [yourNetID]@umass.edu in the “Email address” box, then click Next.

1. Headset must be used - If sound is coming from the computer, check that the mic and speakers are configured for the USB headset
2. Making the VoIP connection - Once the installation is complete you will be prompted with a new choice in the Webex 'Audio Connection' popup: Call Using Computer
3. VoIP quality is impacted by several key factors including:
   • memory available in your machine
   • network bandwidth and traffic
   • type of connection to router (wired or wireless)
   • type of headset being used
   If you are having quality issues:
   • check the Quick Specs (shown in the table above)
   • contact the BT help desk or your IT department for assistance
